Adidja Azim Palmer, known professional as Vybz Kartel has acclaimed that Shatta Wale is the King of African Dancehall.
Vybz Kartel who is also known as the World Boss is credited with being the King of Dancehall music and looked up to by many Dancehall musicians.
Hip-Pop act, Drake, in an interview voiced our his praise for Vybz Kartel and cited his as one of his biggest inspirations.
The Dancehall act, who also doubles as a disk jockey has several hit songs to his name including; Romping Shop, Fever and Summer Time which he released in 2011.
Vybz Kartel, has collaborated with; Major Lazer, Missy Elliot, Alison Hinds and Rihanna.
Vybz Kartel was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2014 for murdering his associate but was later released in 2024.
On New Year’s Eve, after many years in prison, Vybz Kartel organized his Freedom Concert which had Shatta Wale from Ghana on bill. The concert also had artistes such as Popcan, American rapper Busta Rhymes, Spice, Lisa Hype and Gaza Indu.
After mesmerizing performances from Shatta Wale, Vybz Kartel took to the stage to rain praises on Shatta Wale.
