Stonebwoy dropped from upcoming Ghana Victory Concert.

Livingstone Etse Satekla, known popularly in the entertainment fraternity as Stonebwoy has been dropped from the upcoming Ghana Victory Concert.

The concert which is being organized by to appreciate the grassroots and Ghanaians for the National Democratic Congress (NDC)s overwhelming victory billed the reggae-dancehall artiste to perform at the event.

After the official poster was dropped on X, social media users were quick to voice out their displeasure.

Many opined that Stonebwoy is ungrateful and wants to reap from where he has not sown, while others were of the view that he’s a supporter of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Old footages and pictures resurfaced of Stonebwoys affiliation with members of the NPP and this sparked conversation on social media.

In one video on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty on his show Daybreak Hitz, Stonebwoy passed comments that he received a call from the NDC to come perform during the pre-election phase.

“I received a call from NDC to come perform. We are checking on the money level. If it goes well I’ll go and perform to my fans”.

These were some of Stonebwoys words in a response to a question thrown by Andy Dosty.

With all these evidence resurfacing, many were quick to call Stonebwoy out for not willing to perform when the NDC were in opposition but quick to answer to the call to perform at the Victory Concert.

This sparked conversations on X with many making their displeasures known for the organizers willing to include Stonebwoy to perform at the concert.

The hashtag #DropStonebwoy started trending on X and soon hit number one in the search on Ghana X.

With pressure mounting and the grassroots voicing out their displeasures and their intention to boycott the concert if Stonebwoy wasn’t dropped, organizers of the Ghana Victory Concert acted swiftly and brought another flyer indicating Stonebwoy has been dropped from the concert lineup.

A press statement was quickly dropped by the organizers of the concert in relation to why Stonebwoy was dropped from the concert lineup.

“The organizers of the Ghana Victory Concert, responding to sentiments and concerns from the party grassroots have decided to drop the artiste from the concert lineup”.

We sincerely apologize to all members of the National Democratic Congress and to Stonebwoy and his team for the unfortunate outcome”, the press statement read.
