Who takes home the ultimate crown at the maiden edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards?

The maiden edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) is upon us and fans are excited to know who comes out on top in each category.

Slated for June 1st 2024, the award ceremony will be held at the Accra International Conference Center.

After their takeover from Vodafone earlier this year, Telecel is continuing the tradition that commenced 25 years ago.

From MTN, to Vodafone, and now Telecel, the Ghana Music Awards have been nothing short of amazing over the past years and expectations are on a high for this years event.

The ultimate award of the night is the category for the Artiste of the Year. Last year, 45 hit maker, Black Sherif emerged victorious on the night winning the prestigious award for the first time with his hit song, Kweku The Traveler.

Last year, Black Sherif carried the night winning five awards on the night.

This year, he’s back in the category again but faces stiff competition from five other artistes.

Monica hit maker Kuami Eugene, Terminator hit maker, King Promise, No Fugazy hit maker, Sarkodie, Into The Future hit maker, Stonebwoy, and Aseda hit maker, Nacee are all in the mix for this years Artiste of the Year crown.

After a stellar year, many have tipped King Promise to come out on top and win the ultimate award on the night.

Efia Odo, has publicly affirmed her support for King Promise and has made it clear that if the award doesn’t go to him, then the award show is rigged.
